Hi i live in Bega and i was wondering if i would need night time heatind for a bredli?

Harry

I'd recommend you leave a warm spot in the enclosure, especially over winter. How do you plan on heating it during the day? (If you have a basking spot with a heat lamp, then at night maybe just put a very low wattage heat mat on unusually cold days) Bega can be a freezing! Bredli are fairly hardy though, but I would talk to the breeder and see what temps they have been keeping at. You may get away without night heating but it all depends on the ambient temp of the house/room the bredli is in etc... When feeding I'd leave a good hot spot for 48hrs to help digestion. Other factors to be considered would be the bredli's age.

All the best.

Depends on what the temp is like in the room you keep your bredli in and how long you want your bredli active throught the year.

Think about the area your snake is from and what temp ranges it will likely encounter.

E.g. To replicate summer probably keep one end around 32-35 deg try getting a cooler end around 8-10 deg less.

If you want to breed replicate a winterish temp range for that region.

Mine don't get heat overnight unless she has a big feed and I leave it on over the first night after feeding, but other than that no heat. But our reptile room doesn't really drop below 23 at the moment with the warm summer we're having, so I haven't bothered lately at all.

i dont night heat my spotteds , coastals , or jungle . i do heat my BHP [ but that too will be geting no night heat very soon] and i night heat my tanami woma hatchlings [ until they get a little older , as there only 5 -6 weeks old]
