Can any one tell me where I can but dragon fly nymphs or time of year to collect them and where

i do not know about buying them, but you can catch dragonfly larvae from creeks/ponds streams, what will you be using them for if i may ask? i used to catch them and feed them to my fish..

I want to keep them as a feature tank

Thank you for that web site and yes it would be interesting new I need to find some one that has kept them as I can not find any information (still looking) on temperatures or I might have to start with trial and error and document it my self

no worries, as for care of nymphs i can tell you that they are carnivorus and will eat small fish like (baby small male guppies), worms, brine shrimp, and they like cold water they do not live long in water that is above 25c, also they can be cannibalistic..hope this helps

I know what they eat and that they would like cold water. but I'm thinking of air temps ie a heat light or something of the sort and do they need uv as a fly (I know they would not as Larvae because they feed at night and live 'underground' in the day)

Just asked an entomologist and dragon/damselfly enthusiast some questions hope to get the answers soon will relay them on here

She replied and it's a no go because as the final stage they do not like to be constrained and do not survive long bummer oh well to find something else.
