Hi my new photo album is up its called Brodie. There is only a few piks of a Rock Python so far. One is a bit blurred, but this was only cause one of the filmcrew startled it. I personally like the pik of the head and 'The Big One'. This saturday I am going back there so ill get some pics of this beautie again if there is good lighting..etc, hopefully as well as taipans, Mulgas, Water Pythons, Olive, woma, death adder, common tree snake Blackheaded, Blue tongue, Chameleon Dragon, Floodplains Monitor, Frilly, childreni, Nt carpets and hopefully some Pygmy Monitors, but we will see. Enjoy
Cheers

PS
Bruce is the bloke you should see in the upcoming Discovery Channel show snake buster however the crew wasn't sure if ti will be aired in Australia for a while. And thanks to Glenn the soundman for taking the photos!

Pretty tasty looking snake Brodie. I've watched all the Snake Wrangler series on Discovery. Any idea when the Snake Buster will be shown. Is it a one off or a series.

Hi Grahamh
I watch Snake Wranglers to but it's repeats now
I think it is a whole series as they are taking 12 months to film it and thats longer than a movie. But i dunno, it took em like 2 hours to film an arafura file snake, which will probably only get a couple minutes of coverage. The crew said that is actually ment for the UK :x but apparently it should be coming on to ABC. Marshall mad good friends with Bruce, so if it does come here I should be able to let you guys no.
Cheers

That'd be brilliant as we don't get too much of special interest to the herper.

I reckon you're is a pretty neat situation up there. Do you have plans to become a professional herper or something along those lines.

If I could start my career again I would want to be a naturalist and specialise in reptile research.

Awesome snake Brodie!
I def. wanna watch that series too, pls keep us updated! :D

Dont worry i will keep you informed.

Grahamh: Yea i wanna be a pro herp. I am about to do my venemous snake handling course soon (I hope). And then I am off to Uni at the end of next year to do a degree in zoology (part time). And then hopefully my masters maybe even studying the rock python or rough scaled python :D
Cheers

Best of luck mate - I can't think of a more interesting career. Maybe you'll end up making some of those great snake documentaries.

Do you spend any time up around Fogg or up at Humpty Do at GGRW.

I love it up there

Yea i go up there sometimes, but not really for snakes, as there are death adders everywhere at Fogg Dam especially at night. But I have driven along the blacktop at night, and looked lots of water pythons, but being a good citizen I didn't pick them up, also probably cause they look a lot like King Browns sometimes, so I didn't want to take my chances. I used to live in Innisfail though, and me and my friend used to go looking taipans in the cane fields, but we rarely got within 10m of any . But most of the time I see snakes is when I am not lookin for em, like when i was about 10 we went to this waterfall, and i didnt look where i was going when i put my hand on the handrail i put my hand on a green tree python, shame and flew back into the bushes, but my dad still got a photo of it, though all you cann see is its head and a black tongur fliken out.
Cheers
