what is the great cause, please. or is it steve irwin's name is attached to it, so it must be great. signing petitions like a mob, just decreases the validity of all petitions. i'm yet to be convinced that the large amounts of land purchased by the irwins have any conservation value at all. it's lovely to say you have set aside land for conservation, but it was all bought ad hoc, mainly cause it was cheap. there were no acquisition plans or research done. so why is it a great cause? what species are we saving. they bought land so as not to pay tax (their adviser was gaoled last week for two years for his dodgy dealings and advice) with no environmental assessment for any site done prior to acquisition.
it may turn out to be a valuable conservation site, but please, tell me what the great cause is, because if it is just because irwin's name is on it, i say dig it up!
