We aren't happy puppies tonight. Some rotten fatherless person in our little out of town street has dobbed us in to the local council for our hobby rodent farm. He has rung them anomonously(is that the spelling?) stating that the Rodent Ranch is smelly. He's way down the end of the street and that is complete BS! All the immediate 5 neighbours say they cannot smell anything ever. We clean out all the nesting boxes once per week! Its just BS. The thing is that he found a rat at his house. Whether it is one of ours or one of the feral fruit rats that my cat occasionally kills nobody knows. I said to Dave, he should either produce the rat or pics thereof, or it didn't happen, as you guys are so fond of saying. LOL! We usually have some of those Rodent bait blocks strategically placed around, just in case we have escapees anyway. So now we have to wait for a letter from the Renmark Council next week to see what the next step will be. If they want to make us change everything and apply for a Planning Application, whatever that is, who knows what will happen? Grrrr!!! The idiot down the road blabbed to Dave's Mum re the rat he found/saw or whatever, so we know he would be the one to dob us in. He's a late comer to the street, and we are all a tight knit little community here, so I reckon he could be on the outer in future. I hope this biz doesn't stuff us up. We enjoy our rodent ranching, even tho it keeps us busy. Never a dull moment here, I can tell you. Oh well thats my gripe for the day. Cheers Cheryl
