other types of wood?

Hey everyone,
i know this thread has probably been done before but anyway.
What other woods do people use to build there enclosures other than melamine? or is there any of good woods to use to build with?
im planning on build a double enclosure to house a albino and a rsp.
would love some good feedback or photos of peoples enclosures.

Any type of wood is ok as long as you seal it with pondtite after. I use 18mm pine stained with a Japan black stainer.

i wanted to stain it but i didnt know if stain was okay for snakes.
could you use any stain? or does it has to be prespefic stains?
