That's censorship at it's best.
I was actually refering to something that had nothing to do with collecting bugs.

Good point Nothin2do, you must turn off system restore to scan and remove a virus, or it stays saved in restore folder. sadly you will lose all previous restore points. Good idea to create a new restore point straight away after removing a virus.

Mick, i forgot to mention, to run the spysweeper first, then add/remove the "whenusearch" thing.
that way you remove its registry key/s and it cant return. add/remove itself often leaves behind registry keys. cheers

INstar,

Great program. It found six softwares and 4740 traces. Took 17 minutes to sweep, then 7 & 1/2 hours to remove. Something called Gator (GAIN) was responsible for more than 90% of the traces and was causing it all the problems.

Speaking of computers, can someone give me some advice on how to clean everything off my old one, so there is absolutely nothing on it anymore? If I did this could Windows 98 be reinstalled then? Not very tech minded here? Maybe Fuscus can help??? He seems to be a bit of a puter wizz? cheers Cheryl

You can use the format command at the DOS prompt, BUT you will need a a preinstall disk to fire the cdrom back up. And sometimes you may need to modify the boot sequence in the BIOS.
Best to get someone who has done it before to show you.
