Is peatmoss a decent snake enclosure substrate?

I dont want to use newspaper, breeders choice or fake grass.

Peastmoss is a right pain to clean! , if you change it every week it might work... But it will retain too much moisture for most snakes.
Maybe Try aspen snake bedding?

i use aspen now,,,i find it easy to use and better looking than Breeders Choice..
I do have some reptisand in my smaller enclosures but always worry about it with snakes eating off it..even though it is calcisand and supposedly good for snakes..
I wouldnt use peatmoss myself,,,

Peat moss is better used in nest boxes I hear best not to use any damp or anything with loose particles that snakes could eat but then again they have such concetrated stomach acids probably wouldnt hurt

peat moss is no good, i have seen pythons with all there labial heat pits cloged up with peat.
