Okay, so I got my 2 month old Jungle hatchy about three weeks ago. And I noticed a few days after I got him that he has quite a pink belly, all the way down. Also his scales lift up a little when you run your finger down the other way. But I think that's normal.
Anyway, I'm worried about his belly. I read that it may just be that he'll shed soon. Then I texted the guy I got him from and he said all of his have that and not to be worried. Though I don't really believe him.
Anyway, here's some pictures.
Also the lighting may make it look pinker than it is.
Thanks!

I know when coastal are young they have a bit of an orange belly , maybe it's a similar thing here ?

Some northern Morelia spilota have ruddy coloured hatchlings.

Maybe, it's kind of peachy coloured.
Thanks for the reply.

Could it be coming up to a shed? My diamond will go pink on the belly when it feeds or when it is coming up to shed.

I think he may be, but would it go pink three or more weeks before?

Sheds don't always happen on a tight schedule. I have had young snakes shed two weeks after the last one.

Yeah, maybe. But I have had him for three weeks, and he's not yet shed. Do you know how often they would usually shed?

I depends on age but my younger ones will shed about every 6 - 8 weeks but as I said it can vary a fair bit. Also if it has been pink for three weeks I don't think it would be to do with shedding. None of my snakes are jungles or have had pink bellies for that amount of time but I would think that if your snake is eating and behaving normally than it would;t be anything serious. Hopefully someone on here will be of more help to you sorry.

Okay, he's been eating and things.
Thanks for the reply! :D

Hey Wombok, my jcp is the same age (actually I think I got mine from the same breeder as yourself lol) and has the same pinkish belly. I don't think it's too much to worry about as my snake feeds incredibly well and is very adventurous. It could possibly be baby coloures as the pink is gradually becoming less obvious.

Okay, that's cool! Mine feeds well too! Hopefully it is just that.
Thanks for the reply. :D

Aw, the link didn't work, but I'm sure he's super cute. Awesome name too! :D
