Just wanted to see if anyone else has done this. I've got a 132L plastic tub from Bunnings, cut a hole in the top and attached stainless steel mesh for a heat bulb, and drilled holes in for ventilation. I'm planning on lining the inside of the enclosure with silicone baking mats (lol) so that there's a guarantee no fumes will be released.

This will be for a juvenile jungle carpet.

Not for aesthetics, it's a budget build for practicality. I believe a smaller Stimson could be kept in here permanently.
(P.S im aware the hole was cut way too small for the heat lamp to rest on it properly, ive since added ceramic tiles on the edges of the hole so it wont melt anything.)

A smaller tub with a flat bottom and heat mat would work a lot better in my opinion (and own personal experience with a pretty rocky start)

I'm no expert though so perhaps this has been done before and works well.
