Nothing like your ex husband... It isn't boring, anything but! It is cold and rainy (at the moment) but you'll be hot steamy and rainy for the next 4 months soon... :)

I do miss the reps and the risk of being eaten by a croc every time I went swimming, but I absolutely love it here (can go swimming with seals instead :) )

Just got home from Darwin on a fishing expedition, and came across plenty of big croc'....The locals whom i was fishing with aren't afraid of the ones you can see, it's the one's you can't see that do the damage...

I stayed with a mate from Cairns and we went out around the city and then up to the Daintree, saw about 15 crocs over three days, most were small during the day (presumably they were more naive to people) but spotlighting on the Daintree at night over a 10km stretch of the river we saw a lot more, most of which were much larger but nothing over 14 foot.

For me seeing them in the wild is awesome, their 'cousins' in captivity pail in comparison to their wild counterparts. I guess like all species.

Does anyone have any good spots in the southern part of their Qld distribution? I'm looking to head up there to Rocky area over Dec-Feb period if all works out.
