how would I treat it if it was mites? is it safe to treat it with out knowing for sure she has mites?

Take it to a vet and they will go through husbandry, diagnosis (hopefully) and treatment.

Sloughing so frequently is unusual, and you should really get it sorted - all we can do over the computer is speculate, but the sloughing is indicative of a problem.

Hi, I have 2 spotties both males, the 2year old sheds every month give or take one day! The 12 month old boy sheds every 6weeks and is eating 2 fuzzy rats every 7days, he needs to go up in size but I am having trouble getting the right size, they next size is a bit big. You can grab mite spray at most pet shops that sell herp gear, but being only 8 months old, it might be worth getting someone to look at him before unnecessary spraying him, it would probably be safe but better to check or at least ring your vet and ask their opinion. I have never heard of a spotty shedding so often, also the heat mat should be set to 32 degrees all the time.
Hope that helps, I am only new to the herp world but have been given a lot of valuable info, good luck.
Amanda
