I'm considering a move to Port Mac. To the Locals, whats the work situation like up there within govt, local council etc. Looking at certain employment sites and I'm getting a bit of an idea but they don't always tell the full story.

light house beach is ok if you like surfing etc wild life is great though work is up and down and money there is crap as far as wages go, its more for retired people. ......i lived there for two years and i would have to say it was a waste of time living there. i made a lot of friends there (pub), and will go back to visit but that's all.......... financially nearly killed me.
