Hi all,

My male pygmy BD came out of hibernation a couple of days ago and now he and my "suspected" female pygmy BD seem to be fighting which has never happened before. They are head bopping and seem to be trying to bite each others tails. I had them checked at the vet a while ago and he suspected that one was male and one was female however it was a bit hard to tell.

Is there anyone around that can double check and tell me what sex they really are. I am located in Wollongong area so if anyone can help me out please PM me or something.

Thanks in advance,
Andy

Sexing lawsoni is best done using their hemipenal bulges.

Put the lizard on a flat surface facing away from you. Lift its tail up to nearly the vertical position. You will then see either one big bulge in the middle for females or two smaller bulges (male) just above the cloaca. I know a pic would help but I cant find the link.
