:D To have a great understanding and a love for these wonderful creatures is some thing that every body should experience, i took home a centralian python yesterday in the hope to get her eating but sad to say i was too late she died last night, is such a shame for such a beautiful looking snake, I've always been into childrens pythons, so this centralian was my first biggy,i wish i had more time with her.But she has opened my eyes now to the larger ones and i hope soon to have a centralian python of my own soon, but i must save my coins up first. My 9yr old son will be up for school soon,he was very taken with the centralian python just as much as i was,now i must tell him she didn't make it and died last night.
It's nice to see so many people have the passion for these wonderful creatures just like me..
cheers
tess

did i read this right? you bought this python last night tryed to get it to feed and it died the next night?

this sounds utterly wrong if it died so fast and it dident get burned to death or crushed or any other cause that could be considered a fault directly on you then id be takeing the dead python back to who you bought it from and asking wtf please explain and give me a new one

I'm really sorry to hear that Tess but I do agree with Kenshin :(

If you bought or were given it knowing it was sick and were going to try to bring it back to good health then that's one thing, but if you bought what you thought was a healthy animal only to have it die the next day you should probably be going back to where you got her from and finding out what happened

Once again, sorry for your loss...it's hard to lose any animal even if you've only had it a short time :(

no , i did go over to buy this snake off a lady, but when i got there she said just take her and if you can get her better then we can work some thing out she Debbe is a very loverly lady and didnt know what to do about this/her centralian python she got it in Feb from Ultimate Reptiles and she the snake wouldn't eat for her so she phoned Ultimate 3 times and they just kept saying she was eating for them.Any way the vet told me last night that she had a bowel obstruction or tumor.i dont think that Ultimate were very helpful.Debbe tried and i tried to help this snake but when you buy a snake that was already sick, What can you do....

Sorry to here that Tess..

Ultimate didnt seem to be very helpful then.. especially if there was actually something wrong with his insides..

that sux..

yes is does, considering that Debbe the original owner was besides herself ,yet Ultimate just passed the buck, i think they should send her another one, in good faith..

Hi Tess,

Sorry to hear that you lost the little one, I feel sorry for Debbe as well (I know how attached I get to my pets)...

I hope your son is not too upset...

I think before people start bagging URS you need to look at it from their point of view.
URS sells alot of animals and they ARE feeding before they are sold. How many new keepers do you think call URS and say" my little python isn't feeding".
How can URS tell how the snake has been kept how, the keeper is trying to feed the snake, what they are trying to feed the snake etc.
If someone came back to me and said that i would think the same, i would try and tell them but theres only so much you can do over the phone.

I think if you could prove to URS that your python had the problem when they sold it to you (vet report or something similar) they would give you a refund or a new snake most breeders would.
There would have been no way for them to know that the snake had that problem when sold, it would have been feeding and looking heathly. I must say that the pic of the snake in the other thread looked pretty heathly to me.

People are always quick to bag breeders when something goes wrong, but they never stop to look at it from the breeders point of view.

It comes down to.....How do they know your telling the truth and along with everything else i said before.
You can't expect them to just give out pythons.

Steve.

Thats A shame Tess :( Nothing you could do. Hope you soon have your own happy healthy python, They are indeed a fascinating animal. Hope your boy is not too upset. Cheer up life like that. :)
