Just received my fake grass for my enclosure it took 2-3months to arrive. When it arrived it was all battered and ripped open. Then sealed with aus post bag. Wonder if it turns out on the tv series customs.

Customs would of seen it on your x ray and opened it to see if it was bad jibbers you would know if there was something because your there first lead.

Cheers Brenton

Some fake police will come around and pretend to arrest you shortly.

Sweeeet like I mentioned before who doesn't luv a man in uniform hehehe.

But honestly the nerve on people- is temptation that bad to sticky beak through someone's package?

was there any paperwork or anything stating what was up? was sure they had to send it with something to explain what/why they opened it (I know it's obvious but for legally covering their butts) or is that no longer the case?

If it had been opened by australia post they would have done it in such a way as to be able to reseal it the way it was originally. then they would have mailed it to you and if drugs were inside then they would have arrested you when you picked up package. It looks like it had a rough flight and was repackaged to contain spillages.

I have had customs open parcels before. they dont give a rats a$$ about your stuff. They cut it open and in the process cut the goods wrapped up inside (gemstone bracelets) then just stuffed them back into their original packaging. It arrived to us cut open, no explanation and no compensation. Out of 100 bracelets 19 were destroyed. How can you resell them? I hate customs, they take no responsibility for their actions and you can'to do a damn thing about it.

I had a mobile phone opened by Australia Post it came with a letter and the package had a tag taped to it.
I guess they couldn't rip the box open but yours look rough. I dislike Australian Post with a passion ordered Burnings gift cards took 2 Months to get them (Mind you they were Xmas presents).

Id send them a complaint by Email or via Phone.

I'm currently waiting on a parcel from the US, It's already a week overdue. I just know them ^&%^%$ are gonna open it, unwrap the mineral specimens in it and break them all! $550 bucks down the tube if they do!

only once had customs open a package and I found a weird packaging from what I knew it was wrapped in, sticker on the front breifly saying inspected by customs and a short letter inside about it also had a number for complaints etc, mind you that was a few years ago

I would complain about (officially :p) that is way too rough and clear bag to wrap it up pffft

on Aust' Post, had a present sent to me from W.A. late October last year 'Express Post' ha yeah right 5 weeks of dealing with their #### constantly , in total from date of postal until I got to actually pick it up was 6weeks and 4 days......for Express Post

I have had the experience where the packaging was so bad it broke open in the mail. Someone taped it back together and included a standard note explaining what happened.

I've heard of Plant, i.e. Dozers, excavators and especially scrapers that have been inspected by customs, they cut big holes ~20cm in the machines with torches to check for drugs or whatever else inside various parts, I've heard of quite a few fairly newish (6,000hrs or so) machines that are only good for parts afterwards because their structural integrity had been so severely compromised, not a good $500,000 investment if it's only good for parts afterwards...............

Well this us the second time my mail orders have come opened and battered. No notes, no explanation, just a dodgy clear bag. I ordered 5 laptop bags from overseas ( and I'm only talking about new Zealand ) n it came opened and the bottom lining were pulled out from all bags !!!!!!!!!! Without an explanation or a sorry. ( n no don't have 5 laptops )

That would be #%><*• up!! And even if you take out insurance, they probably wouldnt even cover half ur loss. Stupid customs

I have had the customs tape but never a note and many times I have wanted to lodge a complaint but what can you do? Law is on their side

My brother works for australia post and he said that this happens all the time, Sometimes it is customs but a lot of the times its when some how the packaging gets torn in the machines or somehow in the truck. He carries bags on him when working and has to re seal things if they come across it. If its customs it should have something stating it was them.
