As a guide, snakes that have the majority of their distribution in the northern third of Australia are egg layers, and snakes that have the majority of their distribution in the southern third are live bearers.

Tropidechis carinatus ,,,the roughie ;)
Livebearer (according to Swan and Wilson). And it confuses Jonnos guide, the majority of its distribution is in neither the northern or southern thirds of Oz :shock:;)
 
As a guide, Fuscy, as a guide...there's also some of the Adder species where it doesn't work too...
