Is it bad to have a home entertainment system near my Blonde mac?... too much vibration maybe?

I think I might be over reacting but I don't know whether to be worried or not :-(

I wouldn't keep any snakes near a source of loud noise/music, especially if your system has a sub woofer. Snakes are sensitive to vibration & the constant doof doof of bass could stress it a bit. I'm sure someone on here will contradict this, but that's just my opinion anyway.

Yeah that's what I thought too, I haven't had it turned on yet but it is set up right near his enclosure....

Might have to relocate his enclosure to the other side of my room.

Yes they can stress out a lot from that
I know of a few people who have complained that their new snakes are not eating properly and never comes out and I find out that they have set it up near a cd player or tv and I suggest they move the snake and it starts eating again and improves within a week or two.

Awesome, thanks guys... I will relocate my mac away from it.

I thought this would be the case, I was a little worried and thought I would ask.

Thanks for your help :)

dont know if it help but my jungle python reacts and wont come out of its hide if my wall mounted air con is on becuase of the vibrations it makes :( so might happen with sterios as well

Also MZ, keep them away from high traffic areas, where people are always walking through.

i have a pretty mad setup in my room but cannot listen to it now without headphones because it drives my bhp crazy, doesnt seem to bother the stimmies at all

Sorry, i don't agree with that one, mine is in the family room and constantly got her head out of her hide watching the movement, but she has got 180 degree viewing so there's no sneaking up on her, and with timber floors she will generally feel vibration long before she can see you, and no, she's not a 10yo laid back senior, she's only 2.

Totally agree with the no loud stereo though, i do have a stereo in the same room as mine but it is rarely loud enough to freak her out, however she doesn't like the washing machine that is on the adjoining wall in the next room, when it hits spin cycle. she goes into 'high alert SS" formation,

i have a tv ontop of my BHP 2 story enclosure , he is quite happy to wonder around when the tv is on . he has never showed any signs of stress , he even eats on the 2nd floor when the tv is on ....

i have a few snakes thoughout my living areas and they dont seem to worry about us walking past them. also have a suround sound system with a sub woffer connected to my tv and we watch movies quite loud and the sound/vibration dosent seem to worry them either

Some it worries them, some it doesn't , depends on the animal.
