Hey guy i live on the gold cooast and i have a 4-5 month old spotty approximately 35-40cm long, his last feed was on sunday, and after his feed he became extremely aggressive towards everything and everyone. I put it down to him just being defensive due to just being fed. I left him til last night(tuesday) got him out of his enclosue without a strike or anything, however i could tell that he was on edge a little( being very subdued and keeping himself quite stiff the whole time. Once i put him back in i went to clean out and replace his water, and when i did he poked his head out of his hide and bit me. Im wondering whether it could be due to thye weather getting a bit colder not oor something more serious???

As he is still young some inconstancy is expected...
the reason for his aggression maybe due to an extended food response, but i dont think this is it because you said you were able to handle him... the other thing you must make sure you do is to wash your hands before going to clean the tank or pick her up... because you may have certain things in your home that you have touched that have a similar sent to what he would consider to be food...
in a lot of situations after you handle a snake and put it back in their enclosure when they are young they can become a bit agitated, nothing to worry about...
but just a few tips...
after you feed her place a towel over her container and leave her for about a day...
and just take more notice of any signs she is giving you... because she is just behaving in a normal manner... so if you see she is a bit edge, just try and be a bit more careful when cleaning the tank...
...
of course you will get a lot of people on here saying just take the bite... but if your not confident its very hard to come to terms with lol
...
hope this helps

I'll keep that stuff in mind thanks frustration, it doesnt bother me getting bitten, taken many bites before, more concerned for the safety of my snake and wanted to make sure that there wasnt something wrong.

how long have u owned the snake for , how often do u handle the snake ?.
id say the snake was a little stressed when u got it out to handle it [ going by what u said] and when u went to change the water it was being cage defencive .
what is the size of the enclosure?

You should be leaving them alone when they have eaten. At least a couple of days.
It would be a food response.

ive had the snake about two months now, and it live in a 7litre clik clak

Unlucky, my male spotty is the nicest thing ever lol. it may just be his temperment though, some snakes are just like that. maybe as he gets older he'll calm down a bit.

when i got my spotted i handled him 5 mins every every day but when i feed him i would leave him for two day and a night. And when i clean his inclosure i take him out for a while and now it been all most two years now he has never bitten me, touch wood lol im still waiting to get bitten.
