Hi Everyone,

I am helping with some pre-purchase research for my cousin, and we are wanting to go and look at some pet shops that stock reptiles and associated paraphernalia, enclosures etc. Can anyone recommend some decent shops in the Gold Coast area? We actually live in Northern NSW, so would prefer not to go as far as Brisbane, but if you know of anything in Bris that is outstanding and not to be missed, we might extend the drive.

At this stage, choice of species and preferred age etc is still under discussion. Her and her husband are completely new to reptiles, and would like something that can be handled easily, and for their baby daughter to be able to handle it when she is a little older.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Tuttley :D

Firstly Im not a fan of pet shops, however the new pet shop at Robina called Pet Crazy seems to look after their reptiles well.I dont know what they have at the moment.A few weeks ago they had cunninghams, blueys, beardies, macs. They are expensive though.

Pet Barn Nerang and Pet Barn Moorooka are OK from what I've heard

the coomera pet supply's has a great deal of reptile supplys and at pretty good prices to,and have a guy there thats into reptiles, they have cages, hides, lights, etc also snakes and lizards for sale

Thanks!

Thanks for all your suggestions, we have got a fair few to keep us busy today!

If you go to robina pet crazy you should get a good snake, i believe the owner is the sister of the owner at coomera pet supplies which i highly recommend, they have some really nice childrens and macs there, of various sizes.

I haven't been to robina before, and would recommend that you stop into coomera. Nerang didn't have any snakes there last week, and although i do like their shop i found coomera are more willing to give advice and a fair bit cheaper.
