Yesterday these little guys started hatching out. It's always exciting to see herps coming out of their eggs but even more exciting when it is a species you've never bred before. These turtles are so different to anything I've bred before. About a week before hatching their shells become indented. ALL the calcium is absorbed from the egg shell prior to this and the eggs feel very much like a typical python egg.
