For you kids out there, this bloke and the band he was in, The Monkees, are the first example of a manufactured pop band. In simpler terms, kind of like the original "American Idols". Watched their show religiously as a tyke. Very sad.

It isnt sad when someone like him who has had a wonderful life passes, we should celebrate his life and remember the way he was as a jockey first then a monkee, at 66 he had a decent innings and circle of life will begin all over again. RIP

LOL....now that sounds really funny to me to hear you say that at aged... 66 ... he's had a decent innings !! :shock:
Now if you'd said at 86, he'd had decent innings I might agree with you... LOL, but hell, not at only 66 !!
