That language is giving the moderators more work. Most people on this site are newbies , i certainly am. Maybe with your wealth of experience sherm you should be a moderator or "helper of newbies" :lol:

Id love to be a mod on this site.

Being a mod doesnt mean you have to know all the ins and outs of reptile keeping, it just means you know the rules of the website you are a mod of and you are prepared to cop the flack that users will give you for deleting their threads.

And yep, i am prepared to cop it!!! But i doubt i will be made up as a mod here.

Peter, nothing is up mate. Ive met you in person and i think you are a great bloke, you actually remind me of my favourite uncle!!! (which is great thing) but i think with your experience and knowledge you can contribute alot to this site and the newer members (im not saying im a know it all about herps, as there is alot i dont know yet) and even the more experienced herpers!!! But, with the attitude that you dont care about the welfare of the site, it doesnt make for a good experience here. Especially from a guy of your standing in the herp society.

Its like this herm. Friend of mine worked for a Freeport in West Papua. Every month she would have a hut built and then her employees(locals) would have a night off and get overexcited and burn the hut down. It helped everyone to release a bit of pent up aggression.
I built a hut. Thats all. Its in chit chat. Not in this thread. Its a thread that you can light a fire in and go bananas. Your reaction is very strange and all I can assume from it is that you aren't very happy at the moment.

ps. Im not a memeber of any herp society. The only standing I have is on the internet and thats way out of proportion.
pss. I like a laugh and that is part of the welfare of the site.

We've all built sak saks ( huts as you say ). But, some of us only light them up in the chit chat forum. Alot of users, carry the lighter to the other threads and it doesnt work there. Yes, it lights the fire, but not everyone there wants a bon fire.

And truthfully my reaction isnt strange, its not actually aimed at you, but at the moment you are the only one that has the balls to actually argue that you like APS the way it is at the moment!!! Im just here to argue on the other side of the fence and say that its pretty crapola at the moment.

nothing worse than 17 junk post about completely OT stuff in the middle of an intresting herp thread.
maybe admin can devise an onsite instant message program, most OT post are conversation.
