hi how are u all,

we recently got a sand monitor he is 2.5 yrs old and his previous owner fed him on live fuzzy rats and adult mice but i have asked a few people and they say not to feed him live food can anyone help with there thoughts please thank you

go for frozen man and dont pay much attention to the imminent flaming

feeding live is illeagle in all states, plus frozen killes off the nasty bugs and such, if u want to feed as close to live as possible feed them freshly killed, saves your loved pet from being bitten by the rat/mice and getting infections and such and saves from having a big vet bill if it does happen.

Pretty much what driftoz said. Feeding like is in most circumstances unnecassary and illegal.

I keep pythons. I drown and freeze my roddents. Small rats and mice i occasionally feed live. God still loves me.
