Been meaning to post this picture up and ask for your opinions. was wondering if this is okay? i reckon its because of the retained shed that i took off. i think it's been on there too long or something? so yeah, tell me what you guys think it is

Tail tip is dead because of the retained shed.A trip to the vet is in order for its removal.

just realised its sunday. im gonna give a vet a call first thing tomorrow morning. or do you know any vet thats open now?i live near garden city area.

If its been there for at least a few days/weeks, then I reckon waiting until first thing tomorrow won't make much difference...

yeah its been there for at least a few days. i thought it was nothing. and shes active flicking her tounge and eveyrthing. so yeah prolly wait tomorrow morning.

I agree with rams ..it needs attention you cant save the tip its dead/dying ..but infection is a possibility so advise is VET ...
the thing is also when the tip is removed ,you actually have to take a bit of good live flesh .all the dead part has to be removed it has lost feeling in that part ,but because it has to be cut at the normal live flesh ,it will be a quick but painful snip ..and then you need anti biotics and keep it clean and dry ...

I dont think it is going to break your bank balance ...but this has to be acted on asap ...your actually increasing the risk of infection the longer you leave it ...let us know how you got on with it ...
