Hactually, It appears that the fore portion of the wing is missing. This gives the impression that the wing is facing the wrong direction. Its is though anatomically correct but the section that equates to the fingers on humans is missing. To demonstrate you should hold you arms at your sides and bending you elbows bring your forearms to your chest. Now let you hands drop forward.
