My 11-month-old central bearded dragon, who i've had for about two months now, started coughing occasionally a couple of days ago. Well, I say coughing, it's kind of a cross between coughing and wheezing. Really weird. He's not doing it a lot, just every now and then, but it's freaking me out.
He doesn't have any of the other signs of RI such as excessive saliva or mouth gaping, and he's eating fine and still seems his usual active self. His temps are 43 on the basking site and 25 in the cool end. I did have a shallow water bowl in his enclosure as he was shedding - he still hasn't finished shedding - but I took it out two days ago, as soon as i noticed him coughing, in case the extra humidity was making him cough.
I've made an appointment with the vet but can't get in until Wednesday morning. Anyone have any ideas what this might be? And any suggestions to help him stay well until Wednesday?
