Hello.
I have a coastal carpet python,i fed him a large rat and he is hungry 1 week after eating.
What is something else that would be good to feed him,Rabbit Quail ETC.

how big is your coastal and how big is your large rat? you dont want to be feeding adults weekly if what your saying is really a large rat..

He is about 1500 long and the rat was a X-Large one. There was not a weight on the packet.

unfortunately giving a label of the rat size is not helpful, my Xl rats could be 500g+, where as another breeders Xl rats could only be 250g+

at 1.5m I'd be slowing down his feeds to monthly of 300g rats, rabbits are a good option, but are usually costly in comparison to rats. the benefit is that they are much more lean and less fatty compared to lab grown rats.

once its around 2-3m you can start feeding kilo rabbits a couple times a year

X-Large rats can vary in size, so it's tricky to know exactly how much you're feeding. Have you considered weighing the food? Just a thought.
