snake problem or worried owner?

My year old diamond male hasn't relieved himself in 2 weeks which is starting to worry me a bit because im usually cleaning out his cage 2 times a week, he is about to shed but that hasn't stopped him from pooing in the past. any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Snakes will sometimes hold onto it until after they shed.
I wouldn't worry about it.

when one of my snakes are shedding she wont poo for ages then when she actually sheds she will go in her skin as its comming off. mabry this will happen?
But as magic said they sometimes hold it when they are shedding

I had The same problem yesterday with my bredli and a filled the bath up only a Lil bit with room temp water put my snake in within 2mins he had pooed in the bath and his skin cAme off about 5 mins after that, hope it helps but don't panic your snake will be fine mate

Thanks guys i remember now him pooing in one of his skins after a shed a while ago, i was spewing because i like to keep his skins to monitor his growth

how old is your diamond and what size rodents are you feeding and how often?

What is wrong? Nothing. You're just a worried owner. The python will poo when it sheds.

he is year old and a big boy for his age he is around 1.3mt long and feeds on small to medium adult rats and gets them down with no problems, he gets one every 7-10 days and apart from shedding time he never refused a feed and has had no dramas depositing them out the other end!

he's saving it up for you, to give you a smelly, nasty 'surprise' in his shed skin! mine always do that!

gee thanks Dipcdame when he does go i hope its on newspaper and not in his skin, he has done it in his skin before and it was left hanging tangled in branches it was foul. a very messy clean up!
