It a bit of an odd question but I was wondering if having a heater (as in a aircon reverse cycle) in a room affects the snakes skin?

I know how much it dries my skin out wasn’t sure if it dries the snakes skin out? and if its something really bad for them

I have reverse cycle air conditioning and haven't found too many problems with it. At shed time you might want to mist your python's warm end to increase some humdity to assist their shed but other than that I can't think of any problems. If your snakes shed in lots of pieces then you know its too dry. But one full skin is sign that all is well.

Animals that live in tropical environments however, the air con should still be no drama provided their enclosures are kept nice and humid.
