Hi all,
When aiming for a particular basking spot temperature (say... around 40C for a Bredli), is that temperature supposed to be the air temperature under the lamp at the height of the basking rock, or it it the actual temperature of the basking rock itself?
Also, I haven't seen any mentions of using metal (painted black) as the basking spot material. It seems that a nice thick bit of metal would be ideal for absorbing and retaining heat; or is there a problem with using it? (assuming that the lamp to basking spot height is correctly adjusted to heat the metal to 40C/
