Hi Guys,

Have just removed Faeces from my adult Stimies enclosure and on checking it noticed, what looks like a string of small yellow balls.

Have looked in my herp books but cant find a anything to let me know what it is and whether I need to take him to the vet. Can anyone out there help with identification and suggestions?

Cheers
Orri

Mmm seeds ...never thought about that... could be from what was in the mouses stomach that he ate... Thanks for that

yeah try a google search yellow bug eggs, bugs can get in enclosure while cleaning or through vents. but i think it looks like seeds

Looks like uric acid crystals, they can range from yellow to brown and green depending how long they've been in the snake to absorb bile. I think they can come about as a result of not enough fresh water.
I'm pretty certain that's what they are, happy to be corrected if someone knows better though.

Thanks for that information Sara. Very informative and you could be right. Have only had the snakes a couples of weeks and Geo does not seem to have been drinking a lot. When I changed the water today he did have a good long drink.

Will keep and eye on it.
Cheers
