Hi my spotted python has not had a feed since 22 Oct '10. Up till then he/she was eating 1 weaner rat each week. He/she is still active and looks like it is about to shed. It has lost some weight but still looks in proportion ie not to thin. What do people suggest I have tried regularly offering weaner rats but it is not interested it simply moves away from the rat.

Try a quail, when one of mine went off its food it was for about 10 weeks. As soon as I offerd a quail it devoured it and we have never looked back.

Make sure its nice and warm when you offer it.

Thanks whats the best way to thaw and warm the rat/quail. I've been doing it in warm water but I've read that you shouldn't do that it is better just to place the frozen rat on a warm surface and let it thaw and warm up. Any guidance on which is the correct way would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
