Hi all sure this has been done do death, but i have a spotted python, around the 90cm mark, i have been feeding her on 2 x weener mice, there isn't a massive noticable bulge once she has eaten and im wondering if its time to move her up to adult mice? If so 2? Or if i should stick with 2 x weener.

Cheers

weaner mice?? why is she still on mice? when my mac was 90cm, he was on 2 weaner rats. How often do you feed her? I'd try her on a weaner rat and see how she goes. there should be a nice lump then :)

She's on weaner mice because i buy dolittle farms frozen food, they reccomend weaner mice for snakes 70-90cm, however the rats (regardless of whether they're reccomended for snakes of 90cm etc) are all followed with "for snakes that will eventually grow over 1.5 m". However from what i've read about the place this didnt seem right. Hence my question to all of you.

Cheers

Ohh okay, that's strange. Yeah, I'd move her up to the weaner rats & see how she goes with them :)

yer my spotted is on weaner rats and she is just over 90cm, yours will take it with ease:p

my bredli is a meter long and eats small rats. i know different species but just to show you don't have to be afraid of feeding them too much.

When my woma was 8-10 months I fed it a 2 week old quail and it took it. lol so I say go for it! feed it rats. =)
