Start Shaking and Checking

It's time to start shaking your clothes and checking your Pools. The Funnel Web will live in a pool for days. Stay asleep in your clothes on the floor through the night and become active come morning. Check your shoes. And don't kill. They can jump. Use a glass jar,place over it. If you can scoop it up.Call somebody that could. Then wet a tissue and take it to a hospital where they will pass it on for anti-venom. Security will pass it onto pathology.
Sydney people have not had the rain for a long time. Now the ground is wet. This season could bring out a lot.
Oh and don't worry to much. I still think the last fatal bite was 1984

I lived in Sydney for 5 yrs during the 1980's never was aware of one funnel web....maybe we were just lucky !!

YUCK! After losing half my finger due to a spider bite when i was little, i have been petrified of them since! I wont kill them though, i just run away & leave them alone! My mum has bird eating spiders.......they are FERAL! :?

Yes they can jump.Or spring if you want to call it that. Active hot nights. Lived with them all my life. Studied them enough. You win I'll just stop posting here.. to many nasty people

Personally I don't really give a flying fox if they can jump, lunge, rear, spin or do-si-do. Just keep them the hell away from me. I don't care how neat they are, I'll observe them from WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over there.... you see that house? Way the hell over there in SA? Now you see that computer in the house? Yeah, behind that computer screen.
