STIMSON python not stimpson python.

I'm also interested to hear what demand feeding is? It sounds like a lot of newbies are scaring their snakes out of eating by harrassing them so much that they become terrified of their food. In my experience young Antaresia have been the most difficult snakes to get feeding consistently but after 6 months they are always eating like champs. Braining the pinkies has always worked best for me in getting them to take the food from tongs (not your hand). Stirring the snake with the mouse can get a strike and hopefully it will then take the mouse but as soon as the snake runs from the food item STOP stirring it as you will just scare the snake and make the problem worse.

I class demand feeding as feeding her only when she is showing signs of hunger? lol demand as in her demanding it, not me demanding it. I did go into the pet shop but as you said Igotfrogs, they also need a thermastat anyway so I will wait and get my new thermastat next week. She seems perfectly healthy and happy anyway though, it was just me being concerned with what I thought were irregular feeding habits. It seems Stimpsons are just a little bit like that though from what Im hearing. I always feed with tongs and just wave it a little infront of her face. she either takes it or she doesnt, when she is hungry she will snap it straight away other wise she will just ignore it. Many apoligies for spelling it wrong, I was going by what they had written on her paperwork! lol

hi

temperature is really important
Have a look at 'theherpshop" for thermostats and heat mats...they hve the best selection and are mail order....so will post it to you. You can always email Brian and ask him questions or ring him up to make sure you get the right thing. They have much better equipment than you can buy in pet shops
