stimsons in trouble feeding

Hi, thought id show you all the problem my stimi yearling ran into at lunch today. This was his third hopper mouse since ive had him and he has never had any problems feeding on them before, I think the mouse was i little warm and his head became burried in its guts. I dont know why he didnt regurgitate but he couldnt breath and was very little life left in him by the time i pulled it out of him.

Lucky he is ok, just very very angry about the whole situation, I thawed that particular mouse in a bag in hot water, i wont be so lazy abd ill thaw it a bit slower next time. I have to admit, I thought i was gonna lose him today, not a good feeling.

To quote alilhayden "OMG".... I'm going to have nightmares - how did this happen? I have never seen anything like this and had no idea it could go this wrong. I sure hope he is ok - he's a beauty.

He is fine now, not sure how he managed it, ill give him a few days and try again. maybe try something a little smaller and fingers crossed he hasnt damaged his jaws.

Nah, hes fine, took a fuzzy last night no troubles.

Probably a bit big I'd say. You can thaw in hot water, just let it cool a bit before offering it - press your fingers against the gut for a few moments to see how hot it is...
