I am interested to hear from others, strange, different or new names for reptiles.

I heard one on the weekend - A Swamp Tiger, after a little more enquiring I deducted that it was a locals term for a Keel Back. I actually like the name, very fitting .

Anyway anyone else?

have heard of "swamp tiger"...alot of people have been bitten by these notorious snakes and SURVIVED! ...yellow belly black snakes(when shown it was a dark green tree snake)..."dolls eye ..night tiger."brown tree snake..."KING BROWN" eastern brown for some reason when they ring they must think "king brown " sounds more terrifying.....:)
