hey guys this is really urgent,
i am so stupid i was on the computer and wasnt paying attention to my carpet python when he slithered into the base of my chair! how do i get him out! btw he is only about a year and a half and quite small

HELP!!

your going to have to pull that chair apart very carefully ....it should have screws that can be undone ...

i know, i tried that! but i cant do it with pliers or whatever! its too stiff. but just a second ago he poked his head out then when i went over he ducked back in again!
:(

go sit on the other side of the room and watch it, they have bad eyesight, so if you don't move it shouldn't see you too well... wait and see if it comes out and grab it then... could also put a nice smelly mouse on the floor far enough way that it'd haveto come all the way out to get it...

lol it happen to me 2 with a fully grown childreni took me like 30min to get her out i just undone the chair

get some WD40 that should loosen up the screws ..try the waiting game ..dont take your eyes off ...and if that dont work get someone to get you a screwdriver or shifter if they have not got diverts in the screws...if stiff put a bit of WD40 on the screws/bolts ..it should become easy to undo ...

ok so i did the waiting game, he came out halfway and a grabbed him. but the little blighter is just sooooooo strong and im scared if i pull too hard he will snap :(:O

put a mouse on the floor a little distance away. BUT, make a trail to it. so rub the mouse near the opening that it got in an drag in on the floor. it will follow the scent out. then grab it. but if its only half out dont force it. just be patient!

i only fed him on sunday! and if i grab him before he gets it will he bite me?

mine did the same so i just tipped the chair upside down and put it outside in the sun and when she got too hot she just come out at her own .... but watch him like a hawk cause it took my little girl 20 mins before she started to even move

snakes are oppertunistic feeders I think, he should come out after it anyways... it may bite you...but you DO want it out of the chair right?

watch and wait grab when it comes out and hold on firmly dont pull ...it will be a bit of a tug o war ...he will loosen up slightly ,you should be able to feel when he does ..then you pull a little more and wait till he loosens up again ...I catch pythons in very difficult spots and as long as you have them by their head they will eventually give up ...do it as gently as you can but dont let go ...
