I just got my electricity bill. I swear I almost passed out! With 2 4ftx1ftx2ft tropical fish tanks and a BHP and a Stimsons as well and general living costs my bill has gone through the roof!

How have people managed to lower their electricity costs?

oh, I lost two nights sleep over ours.

Ours was $400 more than this time last year, cause we had to heat the spider room, reptile room and quarantine room 24/7. My husband has told me I have to come up with the money somehow, as they are my animals.

Hmm...one of the many reasons I am drinking late at night atm :lol: :lol:

Ours was only $400 for the winter which included heating about 25 enclosures, running the heater in the loungeroom, all the power tools I've used, electric blankets, etc, etc. I was pretty happy with that actually.

Mine's about $500 in winter, but that's because we have a fireplace to warm the house. Normally it would be much higher. You save on electricity too when you cool your animals.

Our electricity bill is around the $950 mark per quarter but has on a few occasions jumped over the $1000 mark. It really annoys me as our electricity goes off quite regularly (around 15-25 times ayear) for up to 5 hours at a time. You'd think the "illegitimate children" would give us a discount or something.

Well... yes and no. My life does not really contain moments of insanity, it has degrees of insanity. I was perhaps slightly more insane during the times at which those photos were taken than average for me. It's a bit like how in my entire life I've only been depressed twice!!! The first time was between the ages of 4 and 17, the second time was from the age of 20 to present.

OH!!! ARGH!!! I WAS SO ANGRY THE OTHER DAY!!! Well, then I got over it and realised it was sort of funny really, but anyway... they stuck up the worst one of those photos in the 3rd year zoo lab at uni!!! I was so angry!! Only the senior staff have access to those pics!!! Yeah, well, I'm over it now... *cough*

Yes crazy. stay. I would love to... but unfortunately, jokes aside, too much insanity will cause me to jump off a bridge (without a parachute) and jokes aside, preventing that is more important to me than your laughter.

I get requests for pics of my id cards often, but 99% of the time I refuse to make copies, as well as the other 1%.

Yes, but where should I hang these ions? Should I use anions or cations? Or, as you suggest should I just use one ion? That would be extremely difficult as they're so small and most challenging to separate from one another.
