Hi guys and girls just wondering if it's ok to use a dimming habitat thermostat for my reptile radiator because for some reason my palse thermostat keeps alarming and driving my wife mad.

Thx

is it alarming because its getting to cold you may need a stronger heat source?

It's a 75 watt reptile radiator from the Herp shop in a 2 foot squared tank I have heated a 4 foot tank with one before no problems

Maybe the probe is in a bad spot. I'll move it and see

Put the probe under the heat pad on the perch and measure the temp on the probe.
Where is your probe located now?
What setting is your thermo set on?

I have it at 30 and the probe pops out the middle of the back of the tank.

As said the other day have it come though the top of the enclosure and the probe to hang 1 inch above the closest perch to the heat source. I use the same panels that is more than enough for a 2x2x2 enclosure. I have them in a lot bigger with no problems.
