Hey all
I have been having problems with my new boy he is an adult thicktail and I have only had him 2 weeks
I offered him food 3 days after I got him ( got him on sat was fed then) didnt touch it then offered it another 3 days later again didnt touch them and then again tonight and he doesnt touch them
I am feeding him the same as what the previous owner had him on and I though maybe he didnt know they were in his enclosure coz its a 2foot enclosure but they crawl under him and go up to his nose and he just jumps then doesnt do any thing
Any Ideas on how to get him to eat?? I was thinking get small crickets instead of medium as they are big compared to his head?? should I move him into a smaller enclosure to feed??

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Probably just stressed
Leave him with the crix (no more than 3-4 small to medium)
overnight in a dark room and DON'T disturb him
Before u do this spray all the walls of his tank with h2o in case he is dehydrated
Make sure u have at least 2 small dark hides and cool and warm end of tank
make sure the hot end is not to hot
Mine don't eat while shedding so he might be to dry to shed, spray him with water and spray water under his hides
Good luck hope this helps
And remember leave him in a dark room and only go in there if u absolutely have to for at least a couple of days until he settles in

Whats the temps, hot side/cool side?
I never see my levis eat but i know they do as the crickets go missing and there is no way the crickets can get out.

All good he ate last night :) Although I will get smaller ones this time round
I would be shocked if he was dehydrated as I spray him and his enclosure every morning
I have a heat rock with built in thermostat and have the thermometer a cm above it and highest its got was 29.5 but the heat rock itself is a bit warmer thermal gradient is 5/6 degrees diffeference
And he loves the dark so lights go out at 730pm and get turned back on at 730 am
He only ate 2 but I will get some smaller ones and offer them to him in 4 days or so
Thanks Guys!!!!!!!
