No way... keep the name... I'm just a lazy typer.
With regards to the mice problem, I could put my work hat on and come up with some ideas but I'm over work this week TGIF!!!
Depending on her developmental level of awareness you could just gently start the explanation of life process. Very much an individual child thing though. Honesty is generally the best policy though - I can just imagine her at preschool telling all the kids that mummy keeps mice in a box in the toilet "you wanna come over and see!!!!"
:lol::lol::lol:

Ah nudie time. My kids love it; the tricky part is convincing them to keep their clothes on while out in public or when we have visitors. There's not many things more random than a surprise naked toddler bolting through the room when you're having a sober cuppa with people who aren't used to it heh heh heh.

Thanks hun! if nothing else this thread has taught me I AM NOT A BAD MUM!!!!

EXACTLY! Remember your child is not you, if they don't want to learn its not your fault, they are difficult little buggers some times.....correction, Most times haha

Sounds like you are doing everything fine, just be positive about the whole experience even when she has an accident. My kids had loads of nudie time but I also used to let them run around with just knickers & singlet in summer when peeps were around, saves on the washing. I found role modeling worked best &, I know this mighten be ideal but, we had the potty in a central part of the house so it was always in sight & they didn't have to run if they decided to go. Remember YOU are an amazing Mum who is doing everything she can to care for her little girl. It will happen when she is ready.

HE HE HE, given half a chance, i would run around naked too!!!

It's alright, it'll happen again when they're in their late 80's...it's a cyclic thing :p :D

BAHAHAHA!

Hahahahaha God thats depressing when you think about it lol

yEp, very depressing!

Thanks hun! Potty in the lounge room, toilet coming off that, potty in the toy room and bedrooms, and the norm bathroom too, so I have all the bases covered!

You mentioned someone giving you a hard time about Matilda still being in nappies.......& they are visiting this arvo right? Well, put your little princess in some knickers, give her PLENTY to drink.......& then let her sit on 'nanna's' lap........they may stop giving you a hard time about it then! Seriously though, there is NOTHING wrong with you OR your baby! As i said before, she will use the toilet when she is ready! You can still try sit her there before baths, bed etc, but make it fun, let her read, or even play a board game with her, & as someone else said, make nappy changes REALLY boring! All kids are different! As i mentioned in the other thread, i was lucky, mine were toilet trained under a yr & a half old, but that was there timing, not mine! I had early walkers too.......8mnths old, so there was just no stopping them.......its still like that today actually, if they want to do something, they usually do! :?

NTLS (yes I abbreviated your name - apologies) - don't give a flying thought what anyone else thinks. You're doing the right thing by your little one and thaat is ALL that matters.
I had a little girl here who has only just toilet trained and she is nearly 4 - parents and I have no idea why, no physical or emotional reasons found, she just wasn't ready.

Totally agree with Dragonwolf!!!!! I did the nudie rudie with all three and my grandson. No clothes and the potty close by, weather permitting of course lol. So forget the outlaws!!!

I didnt read all post so please forgive if this has been said but my son was our 3rd child so it was easer then the first 2 girls but i started traing him when we where outside so if he felt the need he would drop pants and wee. Then in the craper i would put a ping pong ball with some string glued to it so again it was a game for the wees. Number 2s just can as easy as 1s rewards and fun works a treat.
If you have a son next youll be right

The only thing that worked for me was having her around other kids all the time. She wanted to go on the toilet because they were. And she wanted big girl knickers cos they had them. Goodluck :)

HI!

Agree time will fix this but at 3 I sort of know how you feel. With my daughter, I toiled trained her just befor she started 3 year old kinder by telling her tht she is a big girl now and she needs to get into big girl undies. I took her shopping and she picked her undies - which made her excited about wearing them! I also got a baby born (doll) that when you feed it water, it has a hole between her legs so I set the doll on her potty and when the doll did wee wees I gave the doll a big hug and said oh my "Jessica" you are such a grown up doll now well done! U deserve a chocolate! With that little Olivia turned on her hill and ran to the toilet yelling "look mum I am a big girl too!!!" And she did it!.....few accidents after that....but thats it!

My boy decided on his own at 2 that he is a big boy and started using the toilet - without an accident ever!

So really it all depends on the kids! All are different! So dont feel pressured by others - If they were all the same they would come with instraction manuals:lol:

I also found that undies worked better the pull ups! Pull ups felt like a nappy while undies were wet and she had to change it! Pretty soon she figured out that toilet was a better option!

Oh and night training takes a bit longer so still put nappy on her at night - untill she tells you she doesn't want it anymore.

Good luck darl......I am so glad I am over the nappy stage lol
