Gday Folks,
Finally all the timings came into effect and i drove up to newcastle last night to go for my jet fighter flight that my old man got me for my birthday. And to experience the G forces put out by the jet was out of this world, completely amazing and one of the best bits of fun i have ever had. I started out by driving up to newie in my old mans Porsche Carrera 911. I thought hitting 200+kph on the freeway would be the highlight of my weekend, but once i got in that jet.....god damn it was good! But the Carrera had handling like it was on train tracks, and thats pretty surprising for a rear wheel drive car, no matter how much i subconciesly tried to get it to let go of the road, it wouldnt let me, and i tell you guys now, around bendy corners in the nsw hunter valley in a car of that magnitude is very nice. Ok i'll get to the jet now. Its a BAC Strikemaster M88 and pulls up to 6+ G forces. I only got to 4 and a half G's but im pretty sure anything above that should be reserved for seasoned astronauts!! LOL. I did everything from Lazy 8's to aileron rolls and combat manouvres, it was a great experience and truthfully im glad i didnt have to pay for it. For a 20 minute once in a life time ride, it was very pricey. Anyway, enough chat here are some pics of Sherm the pilot and i will get some video footage up soon.
Enjoy!! (i truly did!!)
P.s, the house in the background of the first shot is the cottage my old man owns on Kelman Estate winery. (if this whole post isnt bragging then i dont know what it???? )
