I checked my Trail Cam I had set up over a little wallow just behind home. Amazing what is getting about!View attachment 237344View attachment 237345View attachment 237346
I feel like pork chops.
That boar in the last one is on to you! Get on with it Guz, no porker leaves this wallow alive!
I just watched The Hunter starring Willam Defoe hunting tassie tigers. Pretty good. Recommended.
Bloody hell makes me want to pick up a bow again.. My one animal I never got to hunt you have out the back.. I am still wanting to stick in an arrow in a big old buff bull. What time you want me at your house lol
GUZZO!! Like soda stream, you're back!
I think what need now is an anti-personal land mine, I know some guys and I could get you a very good deal
Haha when the water resides I will be waiting....even though it has been a sissy wet here so far.
I have a scary story about last years buff hunting.....arrow clipped a twig and grazed a bull buff's butt. It came carging out and I was caught in the middle of a clearing 15 meters away from an angry startled full size bull buff with nothing but my twig flicker for defence....I froze and it stared at me sniffed the air and then trotted off.....I was lucky.
I have been known to go walkabout from time to time but I always return haha....needed to build up some more adventure stories as i was starting to run out!
View attachment 237378 Here is a pic of me when I went to pick up my camera one night. My time is limited so some nights I will slip out after dinner when everyone is asleep...I hide my cameras pretty well and rely on my GPS to locate them in the dark...i am such a dork haha . I sometimes walk up to 5 klm in the dark to get them.....one night as i was walking back a fog rolled in and I could not see two meters in front of me fot 3 klm....I recalled every scary movie I ever saw.....I did see a heap of keelbacks though.
The keelbacks were trying to get out of the way of the 18 pack of taipans hiding in your shadow. If you look close......
Guzz, a mate of mine in Darwin is a traditional bow hunter. Since he moved back from the eastern states he hasn't got out much and is yet to take any NT game. I know what it's like with hunting spots and keeping them away from morons, but any chance you could give him some ideas on where to start?
