Hey guys,

Seen as well as I'm not apart of a trailer forum I thought I would post here,

I am currently restoring a trailer and have hit a small hurdle. The current hub system is different to what I have encountered before,

It kind of doesn't have a hub, the wheel is just sitting on the area the hub would normally go, so there is only one nut holding the wheel on,

I know this isn't much information but once pulled apart it basically looks like a hub should just fit onto it and that's what I'm wondering can I just buy a hub and put it on???

Thanks heaps guys

Can you take a pic? I would like to see it :) Reason being I know some-one(tradesman)who I can ask but I need to "see" it if that makes sense.... I have an idea but I dont want to be wrong :)

I'm on my iPad at the moment but can upload some pics tomorrow,

sounds like its an old style wheel, seen em before on old boat trailers etc. bearing sits in the rim and bearing preload is set by the nut that holds the wheel onto the axle, measure up the stub axle and goto a trailer place, they will tell you what bearings(ie ford or holden) u will need to suit your axle. As well as hub to suit the wheels

Awesome that was what I was hoping I could do, if not I would just buy a new axle

You could just buy a new axle, hubs and wheels and put them on the existing springs. That should only cost about $150.

Yeah that was defiantly a route I have thought about going wokka,

I found a kit on eBay that comes with all that plus springs and a few other stuff for $270 delivered
