I bought a Woma and we did everything by the books. I have a class 1 licence and didn't realise until 4 months later that Womas require a call 2 licence. I'm in NSW.
What I do? Should I call DECC and notify them straight away or give it back to the guy who sold it to me...
He's just such an awesome python, I'd hate to have to give him away, at the same time it's wrong for me to keep him.

Womas are a class R1 reptile according to DECCW latest species list.

Frett Not.

That's good news for the OP, BUT, for curiosities sake, what would happen if the OP purchesed the Woma on a Class 1 BEFORE the Woma was re-classified from Class 2?

Then you would have some explaining to do.... There is no set rule as to what would happen, but either you would give the animal back, they would upgrade your lic if applicable, or they would seize the animal and ballot it.

Thanks well that's a relief. I bought him in august this year. When did they become class 1?
