Thats true fuscus and there is a very good teams of herpetologist working in India.
They basically have the law on their side inregards protection of reptiles but that has to compete with a huge population that still believes in a lot of superstition. (not unlike here in Oz)
I recall a post on another list from a herper in India who posted about a bullion they make from road kill to baste on rodents that they feed to cobras that only eat other snakes as they are by law not permitted to feed them other reptiles at all(this was in a venom establishment)
