Just wondering where people get theirs from and how much they pay
Are there alternatives to using the blocks that would release calcium into the water

I use cuttle bone. The large turtles chew on it (Especially the females) and it also dissolves on its own into the water. If you got to a beach u can get it free :) Just soak it in a tub of fresh water for a night first to remove the salt :D

Thanks - I should have known that
I did used to do it when they were smaller

They used to get on the bigger peices and float around on it like a surfboard

yeh ive used it too, god stuff and best of all it's free

did not know that my turtles would eat it though

That is cool, I never knew they would eat it either, looks like I will be saving on calcium blocks now LOL
