Unknown patch on Childrens python head - please help

Hey guys -

this is my friends childrens python. He asked me to put this pic up and see if anybody knows whats going on.

It seems to be a discoloured patch on the top of it's head. My thoughts are it could be damaged scales? But I'm not really sure...



He hasn't really mentioned if the python is behaving abormally but if neccessary I can find some more information out.

Anybody know what this could be?

That's what I thought too judging from the eyes and overall dullness... I'm wondering if these are some old scales that might not have come off in the last shed? I'm really not too sure.

give it a spray of water, looks like dry shed if that makes sense

I'd be leaving it alone until after the shed. Odds are it'll just go away by then.
